Mission Town Planning were approached by VIVID Housing, one of the largest registered providers, to deliver planning consultancy and development
advice in relation to the site known as Tipner East.

The site had significant constraints a long and complicated history having been used for a range of heavy industrial activities, leaving much of the site heavily contaminated.

Being directly adjacent to Tipner Lake, the site is also of significant ecological importance to wading birds and marine life and is covered by numerous national designations.

The scheme underwent local engagement and extensive discussions with the local authority. As a result of working with the Council the scheme as
submitted and validated within a day. The resolution to grant was achieved within 5 months of submission.


The scheme is now granted and starting on site delivering not only a gateway scheme to Portsmouth and much needed housing and accommodation across all tenures, but also significant public and ecological benefits to future residents and the people of Portsmouth.
